A note on the subscription prices

VEED's official pricing page builds its dollar amounts in the browser. When CartSignal checked the page source on 8 September 2026, the headline ("Great videos start with a plan"), the call to action and all nine FAQ question headings were present — but no plan name, no price and none of the FAQ answers. We are not publishing a verified subscription price for VEED.

Two things are confirmed from VEED's own help centre. The current tiers are Creator, Pro and Studio, alongside a free plan. And billing is monthly or annual, except in India, where VEED says regulation means only annual plans are offered.

The third-party spread is unusually wide even by the standards of a client-rendered pricing page. Trackers place VEED's entry paid tier at $9, $12, $18 and $19 a month, and its middle tier at $24, $35 and $49, while several still describe a Lite / Pro / Business lineup that VEED's own documentation no longer uses. Treat all of these as unconfirmed.

There may be a structural reason for the disagreement rather than simple staleness. VEED's help centre notes that on Android the "Creator, Pro and Studio plans come with a fixed AI Credit allowance", in contrast to "a selector you get on the web". If the web checkout lets you choose your credit tier, then a VEED plan has a price range, not a price, and no single figure any tracker prints can be correct for everyone. We could not confirm the selector's steps from public pages, so treat the mechanism as reported-by-VEED and the consequence as our reading.

How AI Credits work

These rules are quoted from VEED's AI Playground help article, which is the clearest public statement of its credit policy.

• Credits are per generation, and the rate depends on the model. "Credits are spent per generation, and the cost depends on the model you pick."
• You see the price before you commit. "You always see the exact cost before generating," with each model showing its cost next to its name. This is better in-product transparency than Descript, which publishes no per-action rates and shows none up front — but it is worse public documentation than Fliki or Runway, which publish full rate cards you can budget against before signing up. VEED publishes no per-model credit rate card at all, so you cannot cost a workload without an account.
• Failed generations are free. "Nothing is deducted. You're only charged for generations that complete successfully." Not every vendor commits to this in writing.
• Expiry depends on your billing cycle. "On monthly plans, unused credits expire at the end of each month. On annual plans, they reset once a year."
• The free plan is region-dependent. "If you don't see any AI credits on your free plan, it's because they aren't available where you are." Where they are available, free generations cap at 12 seconds.

The expiry rule is the one worth acting on. An annual subscriber holds a full year's credits and can spend them at any pace; a monthly subscriber on the same plan loses whatever is left every thirty days. Across the tools costed out on this site that is the most forgiving credit policy going — Synthesia credits never roll over, Fliki's reset monthly despite an annual headline, HeyGen carries one cycle, and Descript's two meters carry nothing. On VEED, choosing annual billing does not just cut the rate; it changes what happens to unused credits.

Widely-repeated figures of roughly 1,500, 7,500 and 45,000 credits for Creator, Pro and Studio come from third-party trackers, not VEED, and sit oddly beside the web credit selector. We are flagging them as unconfirmed rather than tabulating them.

The API rate card

This is where VEED is genuinely transparent. The official API pricing page lists exact dollar rates under the terms "no subscriptions, no minimums" and usage-based billing. Quoted directly, with our per-minute conversion alongside:

A minute of processed video runs from $0.10 to $12.00 depending on which product you call — a spread of 120x inside one rate card.

VEED prices resolution three different ways

The striking thing about that table is that VEED's own products disagree about what resolution is worth.

• Subtitles: resolution doubles the price. Above 1080p costs exactly 2x up to 1080p, at both caption styles. Dynamic captions likewise cost exactly 2x basic at both resolutions, so the four combinations are a clean 1-2-2-4 grid. Note the collision in the middle: dynamic captions at 1080p and basic captions at 4K both cost $0.20 a minute, so at that price you are choosing between animated captions on an HD file or plain captions on a high-resolution one.
• Fabric 1.0: resolution nearly doubles the price, inconsistently. Stepping 480p to 720p costs +87.5% on the regular tier ($0.08 to $0.15) but +100% on the fast tier ($0.10 to $0.20). The speed surcharge is inconsistent in the other direction: +25% at 480p, +33% at 720p. One practical consequence — fast 480p at $0.10 is cheaper than regular 720p at $0.15, so if you need turnaround more than pixels, dropping resolution costs less than staying at 720p and waiting.
• Lip Sync 2.0: resolution is free. VEED states the $0.07 per second is "identical at every resolution", so a minute costs $4.20 "whether 720p or 4K".

Put the two flagship models side by side and the pricing inverts against the capability. Fabric 1.0 caps at 720p and five minutes; Lip Sync 2.0 goes to 4K and ten minutes, on a 5GB file limit. A ten-minute 4K lip-sync costs $42.00 — less than a five-minute 720p Fabric render at $60.00, for twice the duration and roughly nine times the pixels. They do different jobs, so this is not a substitution most people can make: Fabric animates a still image into a talking video, while Lip Sync 2.0 re-syncs footage you already have. But if your source is real video rather than a photograph, the cheaper product is also the more capable one.

The per-frame trap

Green Screen and Background Removal are the only two APIs billed per 30 frames rather than per unit of time. The unit is frames, so cost tracks frame rate, not duration — and nothing on the pricing page says so.

Our arithmetic on the standard Background Removal rate of $0.015 per 30 frames, for one minute of footage: $0.72 at 24fps, $0.75 at 25fps, $0.90 at 30fps, and $1.80 at 60fps. Same minute of video, 2.5x the bill. Anyone budgeting from the per-minute figures above should confirm their own frame rate first; high-frame-rate sports, screen capture and gameplay footage are the cases that bite.

Two smaller notes on the same pair. The "refine edges" surcharge is the one genuinely consistent markup in VEED's rate card, at exactly +50% on both the standard and fast tiers. And Green Screen costs 67% more than standard Background Removal ($0.025 against $0.015) and 3.1x the fast tier — worth checking you need the green matte rather than a plain alpha channel.

Fabric 1.0 and Lip Sync 2.0, in detail

Fabric 1.0 is an image-to-video talking model: it takes a still image plus audio and animates a lip-synced performance. VEED's published limits are an image (jpg/jpeg/png) and audio (mp3/wav/m4a/aac) under 10 MB, a maximum length of five minutes, output at 25 FPS, 480p or 720p, in 16:9, 1:1, 9:16 and other aspect ratios. VEED calls it "the world's first-ever AI talking video model" and claims it "generates video 60x cheaper than the average alternative and 7x faster". No baseline is disclosed for either multiple — no named competitor, no methodology — so we are reporting the claim, not endorsing it. The 25 FPS output is worth noting if you plan to chain jobs: run a Fabric clip through Background Removal and it bills at 25 frames per second of video, not 30.

Lip Sync 2.0 re-syncs an existing video to new audio. VEED describes it as zero-shot — "no training data or reference footage needed" — carrying "emotion, style, and timing across from your new audio", working on non-human and animated subjects and accepting audio in any language. Limits are up to 4K, up to 10 minutes and 5GB. VEED positions it against the failure cases of other lip-sync models: "a hand or object crossing the face, low light, fast camera movement, and footage cut from multiple angles". It launched in partnership with Magnific, which VEED calls "one of the world's leading generative media platforms", and is also listed on fal.ai at the same $0.07 per second of output video — so the rate is consistent across both routes, with no arbitrage between them. That matches Runway, whose app and API rates align, and differs from Synthesia, HeyGen and ElevenLabs, where the two meters diverge.

Open questions to verify with VEED

• What a plan actually costs. No dollar figure is readable from the official pricing page, and the web AI Credit selector may mean there is no single figure. Get a price from the live checkout before budgeting.
• Whether AI Credits and API dollars are the same meter. VEED sells subscriptions metered in credits and an API metered in dollars, with no public conversion between them. Nothing we found states whether an API call can draw on plan credits or whether the two are entirely separate.
• Free plan credit availability by region. VEED confirms this varies but does not publish which regions are included.
• Per-model credit rates in the app. Shown in the interface next to each model, per VEED, but not published anywhere public — so an in-app AI budget cannot be built before you subscribe.

Who it is for

VEED suits developers and teams building video pipelines better than its marketing suggests. The API is the most legible part of the product: exact rates, no minimum, no subscription, and a lip-sync model that is cheap, resolution-agnostic and takes ten-minute inputs. Captioning at $0.10 a minute is close to a rounding error at volume.

It suits buyers who need to budget a subscription up front badly, through no fault of the software. You cannot cost a month of in-app AI work from public information — the plan price is not readable and the per-model credit rates are not published. If that matters, tools with public rate cards are easier to plan against: Fliki and Runway publish full per-unit tables, and Kling AI and Google Veo sell generative video by the second in dollars.

Does frame rate change what VEED's API charges?
