CartSignal

Merchant AI-readiness

Can AI assistants understand your store’s products?

CartSignal checks whether your product pages, schema, sitemap, robots.txt, metadata, and product feed are easy for search systems and AI assistants to read. The output is a practical fix list — not a guarantee of AI rankings or recommendations.

Conservative promise: This is a technical discoverability audit based on public pages and machine-readable signals. It does not contact customers, change your store, or claim guaranteed placement in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google, or any other platform.

Audit scope

What the audit checks

Crawler access robots.txt, sitemap availability, indexability signals, canonical tags, and whether important product URLs are reachable without obvious blockers.
Product understanding Product and Offer schema, names, descriptions, images, brand, SKU/variants when present, availability signals, and metadata consistency.
AI-readable feed Whether a clean product feed, JSON catalog, merchant feed, or structured page data could help assistants and search systems parse the catalog.

Recommended for

  • Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom ecommerce merchants with product pages already online.
  • SaaS and digital-product companies that want clearer product metadata for AI/search discovery.
  • Small stores that are unsure whether schema, sitemap, or feed issues are hurting discoverability.

What you get

Mini scorecard A simple 0–100 readiness score with notes about crawlability, schema, product data completeness, and feed/readability gaps.
Critical fixes A short prioritized list of issues to fix first, such as missing product schema, blocked crawl paths, or weak product descriptions.
Implementation direction Suggested next steps your developer, Shopify/WooCommerce admin, or CartSignal can implement after CJ approves any paid work.
